University Student Organization
Student Organization at Universitas Gadjah Mada based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada No. 32/J01.P/KM/97 dated April 12, 1997: 32/J01.P/KM/97 dated April 12, 1997 concerning Guidelines for Student Organizations at Universitas Gadjah Mada in the form of Universitas Gadjah Mada Student Family (KM-UGM).
Department-Level Student Organization
At the department level, student organizations are known as Department Student Associations/Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ). Students from the Department of Fisheries are members of the Fisheries Science Student Family Association/Keluarga Mahasiswa Ilmu Perikanan (KMIP).
