OVERVIEW

The Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada was established on September 01, 1963 with the initial name “Fisheries Section”. Over time, various name changes were made in accordance with the provisions of the Organization and Governance Structure at Universitas Gadjah Mada.

STUDY PROGRAMS

The Department of Fisheries at UGM currently offers four study programs, consisting of three undergraduate programs, one master’s program, and one doctoral program.

COLLABORATION

The Department of Fisheries at UGM establishes collaborations with various institutions both domestically and internationally. Currently, there are more than 60 companies that have partnered with us.

TRAINING UNITS

The Fisheries Department at UGM has several business units to support activities and provide field training facilities for students, so they are well-prepared upon graduation.
Business units at Fisheries UGM include: Mina Business Incubator (IMB) & delifiZ.

Inkubator Mina Bisnis (Resto IMB)

The Mina Business Incubator (IMB) of the Department of Fisheries is a platform to educate and develop students’ entrepreneurial spirit, so that graduates of the Department of Fisheries are expected to have a strong sense of business. In this incubator, students are trained in an integrated way, combining soft skills and practical business skills.

delifiZ

delifiZ is one of the flagship products from the Faculty of Agriculture initiated by the Department of Fisheries UGM.
delifiZ produces several fish-based processed foods, one of which is frozen fish gel products. As a producer, delifiZ also supplies its processed products to IMB.
